Julia Nikhinson
Julia is a Maryland-based freelance photojournalist, frequently shooting for The Associated Press, Reuters, The Washington Post, The New York Times and others. While attending the University of Maryland, Julia was a staff photographer and photo editor at The Diamondback, where she first learned how to photograph sports.
After graduating, she interned with The Associated Press for six months in New York City, where she had the opportunity to cover many collegiate and professional sporting events, including the U.S. Open.
Julia hopes to put the DPPF grant towards purchasing a new 400mm lens.
