TIMELINE

Each mentorship recipient will spend several months in touch with each of the three DPPF mentors over the course of the year (October 2020 – September 2021.)

At the end of the cycle, awardees and mentors will be invited to present some of their work at the September 2021 Gathering.

STRUCTURE & EXPECTATIONS

The primary interaction between awardees and mentors will be by phone or video chat, and the DPPF will provide a system for sharing and commenting on photos.

Awardees will be expected to produce new work each month, and the core of the mentor/awardee relationship will be based on the work.

Monthly assignments/projects could be projects designed and proposed by the awardees, or they could be part of the awardee’s existing work or school flow.

Each month’s interaction will consist of a brief check-in (phone or video chat) before the assignment, and a longer conversation to review and give feedback on the photos that were created during the assignment. The dates/times of the calls will be suggested by and controlled by the mentor.

Awardees acknowledge and respect that the hardworking and esteemed professionals who are DPPF mentors are all volunteers, and they will be respectful of the mentors’ time and talents.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Awardees and mentors will sign and adhere to the DPPF Code of Conduct.

The DPPF will solicit feedback from both awardees and mentors at regular intervals throughout the year. A member of the DPPF administration will always be available for support for all participants.
