Mentorships

Mentorship recipients are chosen from among grant applicants during the open application process every spring. When you fill out your grant application, be sure to indicate that you are also interested in a mentorship, and submit a brief (1,500-character max) essay.

Each mentorship pair crafts a personalized plan. This may include but is not limited to developing a project or story, improving work flow, refining the portfolio, providing advice on freelancing and/or interviewing for staff positions, and providing introductions to other professionals on the DPPF Advisory Board or within the industry who might aid in career development.
