The DPPF Advisory Board is made up of accomplished sports photojournalists, editors and industry leaders who have distinguished themselves at the highest levels of the profession. Their collective experience spans leading news organizations, publications, sports leagues and teams, including Getty Images, Sports Illustrated, ESPN, The New York Times, the Associated Press and National Geographic. Their work has been recognized by institutions including World Press Photo, Pictures of the Year International and the National Press Photographers Association, with honors that include a Pulitzer Prize in Feature Photography.

Just as importantly, many of our Advisory Board members remain at the forefront of the profession today. They are on the sidelines, in the arenas and on assignment around the world, documenting the Olympic Games, the World Cup and many of the defining moments in global sport. They bring to DPPF not only decades of experience, but a current, firsthand understanding of what it takes to work, adapt and tell meaningful stories at the highest level of the industry.

Through their service to DPPF, these professionals have the opportunity to pass forward what they have learned throughout their careers: offering guidance, sharing hard-earned knowledge, opening doors and helping prepare the next generation of sports photographers to build meaningful and sustainable careers of their own. Their leadership reflects one of DPPF’s core beliefs: that those who have helped shape the profession can also help pave the way for those coming next.
